BACKGROUND:

The State Housing Initiatives Program (SHIP) provides funds to local governments as an incentive to create partnerships that produce and preserve affordable homeownership and multifamily housing. The program was designed to serve very low, low, and moderate-income families.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The SHIP program has been appropriated $209,475,000 for the State's 2022-2023 Fiscal Year which is July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023. The City of Ocala has been awarded $616,629. The State has approved the disbursement of the third and final payment to the City in the amount of $44,612.
