BACKGROUND:
On October 24, 2023, the City issued Invitation To Bid (ITB) No. REC/230802 for the supply and delivery of herbicide, pesticide and fertilizer to the Recreation and Parks Department on an as needed basis. Three (3) firms responded of which two, SiteOne Landscape Supply, LLC, and Howard Fertilizer & Chemicals, LLC, were found to be responsive and responsible. Heritage Landscape Supply's bid was rejected as non-responsive.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
SiteOne Landscape Supply, LLC. along with Howard Fertilizer & Chemicals, LLC. met all requirements of ITB# REC/230802 and, after a review of references and all other bid criteria, staff recommends awarding both vendors the contract. The utilization of a multi-vendor contracting arrangement will enable the Recreation and Parks Department to meet its needs for prompt delivery of herbicide, pesticide and fertilizer.
The initial term of the agreement is for three years, with one optional two-year renewal period upon mutual consent of both parties.
The annual contract amount for Supply and Delivery of Herbicides, Pesticides, and Fertilizers Services As-Needed is $51,511.58. Awarding the contract to both vendors will ensure efficiency and availability.
FISCAL IMPACT:
