BACKGROUND:

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and City Council adopted resolutions on December 20, 2016, to establish the North Magnolia CRA Advisory Committee (Committee) and nine members were appointed.  The CRA and City Council adopted resolutions on August 16, 2022, to reduce the North Magnolia CRA Advisory Committee to seven members. There is currently one vacancy on the Committee and staff is proposing that the CRA and City Council appoint Darian Mosley to the Committee for a four-year term expiring on March 1, 2028.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

Members of the North Magnolia CRA Advisory Committee are a part of the North Magnolia business community.  North Magnolia CRA Advisory Committee members shall serve four-year terms and may be reappointed. Darian Mosley has served on the Ocala Municipal Arts Commission (OMAC) over the past four years and is president of a non-profit active in the CRA district.
