BACKGROUND:

The Municipal Arts Commission shall consist of eleven members appointed by City Council for four-year terms.  Appointments shall be made based on experience and interest in the cultural arts at the sole discretion of City Council.  Whenever possible, the membership shall include a representative member from the College of Central Florida’s Visual and Performing Arts Department, Fine Arts for Ocala (FAFO), Marion County School Board, Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), Ocala Civic Theater, and the Ocala Symphony Orchestra.

 

The terms for Dr. Allen Danuff, (College of Central Florida representative), Brooke Hutto (Ocala Civic Theatre representative), Darian Mosley (experience and interest in cultural arts), and David Reutter (Fine Arts For Ocala representative), expire March 1, 2024.

 

Emily Andrews has submitted her application for a new four-year term ending March 1, 2028, to represent Fine Arts For Ocala.

 

Brooke Hutto has submitted her application for a new four-year term ending March 1, 2028, to continue representing Ocala Civic Theatre. 

 

Darian Mosley has submitted her application for a new four-year term ending March 1, 2028.

 

David Reutter has submitted his application for a new four-year term ending March 1, 2028, to represent the College of Central Florida.

 

The vacancies were advertised on the City’s website, and there were no other applicants.
