BACKGROUND:
The Board of Trustees of the Ocala General Employee’s Retirement System is comprised of five members: two general employees elected by a majority of the membership and three residents of the City who are appointed by City Council.
The term for current elected Trustee Tom Casey ends March 1, 2024. In January 2024, nominations for trustees were requested; Mr. Casey was the only nomination by his peers.
The General Employees’ Retirement Board recommends approval of his reappointment to the board, for a three-year term ending March 1, 2027.
