BACKGROUND:
The City established the Affordable Housing Fund to incentivize new construction and the rehabilitation of affordable housing by offering funding to offset development charges and fees, including building permits, plumbing permits, electrical permits, mechanical permits, gas permits, fire review fees, site plan review fees, fees to access city-owned drainage retention areas, water and sewer impact fees, water meter charges, and sidewalks.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
In accordance with Sec. 106-105 Housing Incentive Fund, Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, a not-for-profit developer of affordable housing, has applied for the reimbursement of applicable permit charges and fees associated with the new construction of an affordable housing unit located at 1715 NW 18th Street. Staff has reviewed the application and recommends approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $3,285.00 will be paid from account 112-016-064-554-55-82010, which has a balance of $150,000.
