BACKGROUND:
Inventory items are posted for public competition on the Advanced Utility Resource and Supply, Inc.'s (AURSI) bidding website, www.aursi.com, to obtain the lowest prices on material purchases. Generally, awards are made based on each category's lowest responsive and responsible bidder. In certain instances, awards are made to multiple vendors to afford the City best value based on pricing and other conditions.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On October 7, 2024, the Utility Services Warehouse issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No.: ELE/250017 via AURSI for materials maintained in inventory at the warehouse for use in the day-to-day operations of Ocala Electric Utility.

The six awarded vendors for the subject solicitation are summarized in the table below and include:


Staff recommends approval of the awards to all six vendors in an amount not to exceed $1,702,179.15, as summarized above. These expenditures will be tracked under City Contract No.: ELE/250017

FISCAL IMPACT:
Inventory items are purchased by the Utility Services Warehouse and will be accounted for in account 457-141-000-000-41-14100. User department(s) will adhere to budgeted expenditures for items issued.

PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These goods were procured in compliance with the City's Procurement Policy.

LEGAL REVIEW:
N/A. The City's standard and approved Purchase Order terms and conditions shall govern this purchase. Any conflicting terms and conditions offered by the suppliers will be reviewed for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
