BACKGROUND:

The Ocala International Airport (OCF) conducts routine airfield pavement marking maintenance to ensure continued compliance with federal and state standards and to promote safe and efficient aircraft operations.

This project includes cleaning and restriping of runway designation numerals and centerline on Runway 8/26, cleaning and restriping of the Runway 18/36 centerline, and cleaning and restriping of various Taxiway A markings.

All work will be performed in accordance with applicable standards, including FAA Advisory Circular 150/5340, Standards for Airport Markings, the Innovative Pavement Research Foundation Airfield Marking Handbook (IPRF01-G-002-05-1), and Chapter 14-60 of the Florida Administrative Code.

The project will be completed utilizing the State of Florida bid contract with Florida Airfield Maintenance, JV, which allows for efficient procurement and competitive pricing.

Staff submitted a grant application to the state that was denied for their fiscal year 2026. A new request for FY 2027 will be made but worst case scenario the project will be funded 100% in house.
