BACKGROUND:
The Police Officers’ Retirement System Board of Trustees is responsible the administration and operation of the Retirement Plan for the City of Ocala Police Officers.
The Board of Trustees is made up of five members; two appointed by Council, two elected by police officers, and one chosen by a majority of the other four members of the board.
Mr. Layman has served as a trustee since his appointment on August 19, 2025, and he has applied to serve another term, from August 6, 2026 through August 6, 2028. There were no other applicants.
