East Ocala CRA Mural Completion

BACKGROUND:
On January 20, 2025, artist Justin Alsedek and business owner Neighborhood Storage presented a mural proposal along the façade of the business at NSC 8th Ave through the new East Ocala Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) mural grant program. On February 5, 2025, staff presented the proposal to the Ocala Municipal Arts Commission with defined responsibilities and approved for recommendation. On July 15, 2025, the East Ocala CRA advisory committee approved the project with OMACs recommendation. This project was the first test pilot project for the East Ocala CRA. The dimensions of the mural are one hundred feet by ten feet on corrugated metal. Justin started in December 2025 and completed the project in January 2026. Staff took photographs of the mural for presentation to OMAC.
