BACKGROUND:
The Ocala Utility Advisory Board provides guidance and recommendations to the City Council on matters related to the management of City-owned utilities, including the Ocala Electric Utility and Ocala Water Resources.
Board member Rick Gullet was appointed in January 2025 to fill a vacancy; however, his term was incorrectly recorded as ending on March 1, 2026. In accordance with established policy, Utility Advisory Board members serve four-year terms beginning November 4. Therefore, Mr. Gullet’s initial appointment should have reflected a term ending November 4, 2026.
Mr. Gullet has applied for reappointment to the board for a new four-year term. Approval of this reappointment, with a term ending November 4, 2030, will align his service with the standard term schedule for all board members.
