BACKGROUND:
Belleview High School has formally requested the donation of a surplus vehicle to transport players and coaches of the Belleview High basketball program.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
This donation will directly support the Belleview High School basketball program by providing essential transportation for players who may otherwise lack the means to attend games and program-related activities.
Given that the specified vehicle has been in service for 16 years and is no longer suitable for frontline use, staff recommends proceeding with this donation.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The vehicle valued at $4,813 will be donated. If not donated, this vehicle would continue to be used as one of two loaner vehicles (the other is an SUV). The van is not used often, only has front AC, and is not used for out-of-town trips due to its age. Additionally, new parts are difficult to acquire for a vehicle this old.
