BACKGROUND:
At the March 1, 2022 city council meeting, Council directed staff to obtain quotes from professional executive search firms to find candidates for an in-house city attorney. Quotes were due April 18, 2022, and nine (9) proposals were received. The executive search firms have a variety of experience with the majority having experience placing legal positions.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The executive search fees range from $18,000 to $70,000. The following chart details out the pricing, location, and brief notes for each proposal. Staff is requesting Council discuss the proposals and choose an executive firm so an agreement can be finalized for the service.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost will be paid from Reserve for Contingencies and a budget resolution will be brought forth at a future meeting.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
The solicitation complies with the City’s procurement policies.
