BACKGROUND:

The Facilities Management Department is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of buildings and structures, including parking garages and other concrete facilities. Over time, these structures may experience issues such as concrete spalling, cracking, and surface deterioration due to environmental factors, moisture exposure, heavy use, and routine wear and tear. Proactive concrete maintenance and repair are essential to maintain structural integrity and ensure overall safety.

 

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

On July 1, 2026, the City released Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. FAC/260854 for concrete repair services on an as-needed basis. Six competitive bids were submitted, with Restocon LLC identified as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Staff recommends approval.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this contract will be allocated to account 001-026-321-519-51-46010 - Repair and Maintenance and will be available throughout the fiscal years.

 

PROCUREMENT REVIEW:

These services were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy. 

 

LEGAL REVIEW:

This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
