BACKGROUND:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) annually provides grant funding to communities that will pay operating assistance up to 50% for fixed route public transit systems. In order to be awarded the funding, the City has to enter into a Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) with FDOT. The City has been awarded $552,000, pending approval of the PTGA, which requires a $552,000 local match.

The Agreement will begin once it is fully executed and will expire on June 28, 2024. The funding must be expended by June 28, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The City budgeted $414,000 as its local match in account 494-381-000-000-19-38091 this fisc...
