BACKGROUND:
The Public Transportation Grant Agreement, dated October 11, 2023, originally funded the environmental assessment for future Taxiway C improvements and is scheduled to expire on June 1, 2026.
After further review, it was determined that a full environmental assessment was not required. The project scope was subsequently revised to fund design services for Phase One of Taxiway C. The City has recently reached 100 percent design, and the required Categorical Exclusion documentation has been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration for review and approval.
Amendment Three extends the grant expiration date to June 1, 2028, allowing the grant to remain active through the anticipated construction time frame.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The original grant included a three-year project timeframe. This amendment extends the expiration date to June 1, 2028. Construction, assuming the project is funded, is anticipated to be completed in 2027. The Airport Advisory Board supports the project.
Staff recommends approval of Amendment Three to the Public Transportation Grant Agreement.
