BACKGROUND:
The Ocala International Airport's existing T-hangar campus is at capacity and unable to accommodate the 40+ people on its hangar wait list. A new campus is proposed north of the "crosswind" runway and south of State Road 40 sized to accommodate ten buildings comprised of ten t-hangars each, framed with larger 60x60 privately owned hangars. This new development will accommodate aviation growth for decades into the future.
To access the new campus, the airport proposes to extend a road from near the intersection of SW 67th Avenue and State Road 40 through the northern section of the airport. Phase I of the new roadway will serve the future hangar campus and open the area for non-aviation development as well. Phase II will continue eastbound and ultimately tie in with SW 60th Avenue in the future.

Art Walker Construction's bid price is $1,949,100.07. A contingency amount of $194,900 is needed.
