BACKGROUND:

The Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board (OHPAB) oversees the City's historic resources, advises City Council and City departments on matters related to these resources, and manages Certificates of Appropriateness for properties located within the Tuscawilla Park and Ocala Historic Districts. Members shall be qualified City voters and demonstrate special interest, experience, or knowledge in history, architecture, or related disciplines.

There are currently three vacancies on OHPAB.  Ms. Masters has submitted her application for consideration for appointment to the Board.  If appointed, Ms. Masters will serve the remainder of a three-year term that began on March 1, 2024, and will end on March 1, 2027.

There are remaining vacancies on OHPAB: one is for a term running March 1, 2026, through March 1, 2029, and must be filled by a Florida Registered Architect, and the other is for a term running March 1, 2025, through March 1, 2028, to be filled by normal board requirements.
