BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala will transition from curbside recycling collection on July 6, 2026, to a citywide drop-off recycling program. The transition follows City Council approval on Feb. 3, 2026, as part of the City's broader effort to manage increasing operational expenses and reduce the financial impact of sanitation rate adjustments on residents. This property was previously used for a recycling location but ceased upon the City providing single-stream recycling services. This location will serve the City's central core and portions of northeast Ocala.
