BACKGROUND:
The Police Trust and Agency Fund was created to deposit revenues received from federal, criminal, administrative, or civil forfeiture proceedings. Funds will be used to purchase a DynaLoc Type 2 Explosive Storage Outdoor Magazine with a padlock in the amount of $6,862, a NexGen K9 training kit in the amount of $2,750, and approximately $3,000 will be used to purchase ice cream and related supplies for the Ocala Police Department's Polar Patrol for community-related events.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The allocation of funding from the Police Trust and Agency Reserve for Fund Balance account into the proper Trust Fund expense accounts will allow adequate spending for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The transfer of funds will enable the agency to utilize the accumulated funds to account 610-018-808-521-52-52010. Funds within the Trust Fund account will help offset expenses coming from division-related accounts.
