BACKGROUND:
On October 20, 2020, City Council approved a Sub-Grant Agreement to Administer the Challenge Grant ("Agreement") between the City of Ocala and Marion County ("County") designating the City of Ocala as the Lead Agency for the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) under the FL-514 Marion County Continuum of Care ("CoC").
On June 14, 2022, the CoC Board of Directors approved a motion to renew all existing sub-recipient agreements and funding for a one-year term from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. On June 21, 2022, the County executed an amendment to the Department of Children and Families unified contract PPZ61, renewing the agreement under the same terms and conditions through June 30, 2025, for the Challenge Grant.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The Joint Office of Homeless Prevention indicated to the CoC, its desire to enter into this First Amendment to the Agreement to reflect a one-year renewal for the program period from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, and grant funding in the amount of $52,000 for all associated housing, program, service, and administrative costs during the program period.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A budget resolution will be presented to City Council to appropriate the funds once the amendment is executed by the Marion County Board of County Commissioners.
