BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala is a participating jurisdiction in the Marion County HOME Consortium. It receives an annual allocation of HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds to create and sustain affordable housing units, assist first-time home buyers, and support other eligible housing activities for low- to moderate-income households in the City of Ocala. The U.S. Housing and Urban Development guidelines, including encumbrance and expenditure deadlines, govern the funds.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
An award letter from the Marion County Board of County Commissioners acknowledging the City's funding of $255,186 for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 was received on March 4, 2026. Staff recommends approval.
