BACKGROUND:
The Recreation Commission advises the City Council on matters relating to parks and recreation. The Recreation Commission shall consist of seven members, at large, serving without pay, who the Council shall appoint for a term of three years. A majority of the members of the Recreation Commission shall be citizens of the city.
There is currently one vacancy on the Recreation Commission. Katherine MacKay and Lisa Sprung have submitted their applications for consideration for appointment to the Board. Council is requested to vote for one applicant to serve the remainder of a three-year term that began March 1, 2025, and will end March 1, 2028.
