BACKGROUND:
Currently, Central State Water Resources - Florida Utility Operating Company, LLC (Owner) provides potable water services to Oak Haven subdivision. The owner has determined that the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens located within the Oak Haven subdivision necessitates connecting these customers to the City's water system. The owner approached the City of Ocala's Water Resources Department and requested potable water services to the Oak Haven subdivision after consulting with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection agency.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Under this agreement:
* The City of Ocala (City) shall not be responsible for any facility or pipe maintenance and/or line replacement within the Oak Haven subdivision;
* City shall be only responsible for maintenance, repair, and operations up to the meter connection point on the City side of the connection;
* Owner shall be responsible for all the engineering design and survey costs for this project;
* Owner shall purchase and install an appropriate Badger Meter Orion metering device of standard make and sufficient size on the City's side of the water system connection point;

* Owner will pay the most current City Council approved rates based on the meter size base rate, water consumption charge, with the additional 25 percent exterritorial surcharge;
* Owner shall not connect other residential and/or commercial properties to water facilities served by the Connection Points without prior approval from the City and payment of the necessary impact fees.
