BACKGROUND:

Parcel #23561-000-00 is a landlocked city owned surplus property. Central Florida Community Land Trust, Inc., a Florida not for profit corporation, owns an adjacent parcel fronting along SW 20th Court approximately 880-feet northwest of the intersection of SW20th Court and SW College Road.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

This donation is made pursuant to City Code of Ordinances Sec. 2-313 (f) Dispositions of property to charitable or other government entities. Central Florida Community Land Trust, Inc. qualifies as a private nonprofit agency. Central Florida Land trust, Inc. is an organization committed to facilitating affordable housing for the community.  The parcel was reviewed by all City departments and determined there is no current or future use for the property. The assessed value of this property is $44,736.

Staff recommends approval.

This donation has been reviewed by the Procurement and Contracting Officer and found to be in compliance with City policy.
