BACKGROUND:

Vanguard High School has formally requested the donation of a surplus vehicle to enhance the hands-on training experience for students enrolled in their automotive program.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

As a committed member of Marion County Public School's Business Advisory Council, Fleet Management offers valuable insights into technical training and internship opportunities for students from local high schools like Marion Technical Institute, North Marion High School, and Vanguard High School. This donation will directly support the Vanguard High School Automotive Program, enabling students to gain practical experience with modern vehicles and preparing them for future careers in the automotive sector.

Given that the specified vehicle is no longer suitable for frontline use, staff recommends proceeding with this donation.
