BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to Florida Statute, § 286.011, City Attorney Robert W. Batsel, Jr. and Assistant City Attorney Patrick G. Gilligan, requested a private attorney-client meeting with City Council (Jay Musleh, Kristen Dreyer, James Hilty, Ire Bethea and Barry Mansfield) and Sandra Wilson, City Manager or her designee, to discuss the above litigation to which the City is a party. The issues to be discussed will be confined to settlement negotiations.
The meetings were approved and scheduled to occur at 4:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month (when City Council meets) and at 12:00 p.m. on all other Tuesdays. The meetings will last approximately one (1) hour. A court reporter will be present to record the meeting. The transcript of the meeting shall become a part of the public record upon the conclusion of the litigation.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Council recently voted to move the Council Meetings from 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The City Attorney is requesting the scheduled attorney-client sessions now be scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays and remain at 12:00 p.m. on all other Tuesdays.
