BACKGROUND:
The Facilities Management Department is responsible for maintaining flooring and carpeting across various City buildings. Regular, proactive carpet cleaning improves appearance and safety while helping extend the life of the carpets.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On March 27, 2026, the City released Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. FAC/260159 for citywide carpet cleaning services. Five (5) competitive bids were received, and Cubix, Inc. was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract is encumbered/available in account 001-026-321-519-51-34010 - Other Services and will be available throughout the fiscal years.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These services were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
