body
BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala has permitted the School Board of Marion County high school swim teams to practice and hold swim meets at the Jervey Gantt Aquatic Fun Center and Hampton Aquatic Fun Center for a nominal fee since 2003. Swim teams from Belleview, Lake Weir, and West Port High Schools have requested to use the City's aquatic facilities during the 2022-2023 school year.
The high school swim teams plan to hold practices and/or swim meets five days a week from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., except when the schools' practices would interfere with City programming.
The School Board will pay the City $30 per day (up to three hours) and $100 per day (for over three hours) for use of each pool. The fees are set to cover direct operating costs associated with the School Board's use.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The Memorandum of Understanding provides terms for the continued tradition of partnering with the School Board to serve the needs of our citizens by making quality facilities available for use by students participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Staff estimates the City will receive an estimated $4,500 in revenue in account #001-362-000-000-02-36170 from this contract (exact amount dependent upon actual time of usage). The revenue will offset costs of expenses related to the School Board's use of the facilities.

PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
The agreement has been reviewed and approved for compliance with the City's procurement policies.

LEGAL REVIEW:
This agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality ...
