BACKGROUND:
Extrication equipment/tools are an invaluable asset that perform a function that cannot be performed by any other means without sacrificing large amounts of time. Often the trapped occupants are in dire need of life-saving medical attention that cannot begin until they are free from entrapment. The procurement department issued RFI# OFR/210968 on October 26, 2021, requesting information from vendors who could provide extraction equipment.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
The City received extraction equipment information and pricing from four vendors. It was determined through demonstrations from each of the four vendors that Purchase Point Equipment Supply, LLC was the highest scored firm meeting all necessary qualifications.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Fire Rescue was approved for $69,155 in FY 2021-2022 through the annual budget and a budget resolution has been requested for the remaining $4,837 on this same agenda. With the adoption of the accompanying budget resolution, funds will be available in account number 120-019-910-522-66-64010.
