BACKGROUND:
A City Council workshop was held on March 28, 2022 to discuss options for obtaining City attorney services. During the workshop, Council instructed staff to draft a request for proposal to obtain recruitment services to conduct a search for an in-house City attorney.

PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
This request for proposal was reviewed and approved for compliance with the City’s procurement policies.
LEGAL REVIEW:
Once a recruitment firm has been chosen, a contract will be drafted and then reviewed by the City Attorney for form and legality.
ALTERNATIVE:
Do not hire a recruitment services company.
