BACKGROUND:
The Recreation and Parks Department maintains 12 clay tennis courts at the Fort King Tennis Center. These courts provide opportunities for children, teens and adults to participate in team and individual sports in an organized program or pick-up game setting.
To prolong the life of the courts and provide a safe and quality playing surface, clay tennis courts require resurfacing. The recommendation for clay tennis court resurfacing is every 5 years. This work will provide the proper grade, prevent hard pan, material compaction and replace dead court material while providing new playing lines according to specifications and regulation requirements of the sport.
Resurfacing construction services were last performed on the 12 clay tennis courts at the Fort King Tennis Center in 2017.
