BACKGROUND: On August 21, 2024, the City issued a request for proposals from professional design-build teams to provide conceptual designs, final design, construction documents, and construction services for the construction of the Ocala Skate Park Expansion Project. This project includes four new recreational phases to be constructed in Ocala's Skate Park at 517 N.E. Ninth Street.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On September 25, 2024, the City received one qualified and responsive proposal. A selection committee met to review the proposal for qualifications, availability, experience, and price. Platform Group, LLC presented the committee with the desired aesthetics, construction, and price the City sought. Therefore, they recommend an award to Platform Group, LLC.

Ocala Skate Park Expansion Phases B, C, D, and E are projected to be completed in December 2025.
Phase B - Intermediate Bowl
Phase C - Snake Run
Phase D - Large Bowl
Phase E - Beginner Area.

The project cost, including the contingency, is estimated at $973,018. Staff recommends approval.

FISCAL IMPACT: Funds totaling $500,000 are currently available in account 620-016-146-572-69-65010. This budget resolution appropriates additional funds totaling $473,018 from the General Fund Reserve for Projects account 001-099-999-513-81-99810 and will be transferred to project account 001-021-146-572-69-65010.
