BACKGROUND:
The Ocala International Airport terminal office lease with Jet Genius Florida Holdings, Inc., was originally executed on February 8, 2023. Jet Genius now desires to assign its rights and responsibilities under the terminal office lease to JetLevel Aviation LLC. The transfer will occur immediately upon City Council consent to the assignment.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
• Original lease allows for the transfer and assignment of the office lease.
• Principal of JetLevel is an existing employee of Jet Genius.
• No other changes to the lease are proposed.
• Staff has found no reason to deny the request of assignment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no change to the lease rate.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
This Agreement has been reviewed by the Contracting Officer in compliance with the City’s Procurement Policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
