BACKGROUND:
Ocala Police Department's Information Technology (IT) Department is requesting approval to proceed with the purchases presented in the list below. These purchases will increase the overall efficiency and security of the IT public safety infrastructure and provide departmental staff the ability to work efficiently while working remotely, on-site or during an emergency. These purchases will also give us a more robust posture in a cyber-security related event:

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Microsoft License G5 Upgrade: As a political subdivision of the state of Florida, the City of Ocala qualifies as an eligible user of Sourcewell's Cooperative Purchasing Agreement 081419-SHI for Technology Solutions (Contract Term Expiration: 10/30/2024) for the purchase of the Microsoft 365 G5 upgrade solution from SHI.
Password Manager: The City's Information Technology Department sought a procurement exception for the purchase of the Password Manager solution, a copy of which is attached hereto. After consideration of price and competitive offers received from comparable responsible vendors, the Contracting Officer found that accepting this quote would best serve the City's Interest.
