BACKGROUND: The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and City Council adopted resolutions on December 20, 2016, to establish the North Magnolia Redevelopment Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee), and nine members were appointed. Subsequently, Resolution 2022-50 was adopted to reduce the committee membership from nine to seven.
Three candidates applied to fill two vacancies on the Advisory Committee. Applications were submitted by Ms. Angie Clifton, Ms. Toni Yoder, and Ms. Wendy Kebrdle.
On March 18, 2025, the CRA Board voted to appoint Ms. Clifton to a four-year term and Ms. Kebrdle to a one-year term.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS: The Advisory Committee consists of members from property owners and organizations representing the North Magnolia CRA subarea.
Ms. Clifton was appointed to the Advisory Committee in 2021 and has been the Chairperson for the last two years. Wendy Kebrdle is the CEO of Wear Gloves, a non-profit organization in the North Magnolia CRA subarea. Please refer to the attached documents for additional information on the candidates.
Staff requests that the City Council approve the appointment of Ms. Clifton and Ms. Kebrdle to the Advisory Committee.
