BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala and Peter Lee are parties to an employment agreement that expires on October 31, 2026. In accordance with Article IV, Section 4.01 of the City Charter, at the second meeting in October of even-numbered years, the City Council shall appoint a city manager for a two-year term. In addition to the appointment requirement, the parties desire to formalize the rights and responsibilities of each by entering into an employment agreement.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
Request approval of the employment agreement between the City of Ocala and City Manager Peter Lee.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are budgeted in the City Manager's budget (001-012-210-512-51-*) for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
