BACKGROUND:
The Firefighter’s Retirement System Board of Trustees consists of five persons: two firefighters elected by the firefighter members of the plan; two trustees as residents of the City appointed by City Council; the fifth member chosen by a majority of the other four members of the Board and appointed by City Council as a ministerial act.
Justin Hardy is a current member of the Firefighters’ Retirement System Board of Trustees, serving as the elected fifth member. His term ended on October 4, 2025, and he was re-elected by the other four members of the board at the August 18, 2025, board meeting.
