BACKGROUND:
City Hall has experienced water intrusion in the foundation and basement areas during periods of heavy rainfall. These conditions have led to moisture infiltration, wall deterioration, and potential long-term structural concerns.
The Facilities Department conducted a thorough evaluation of the affected areas and determined that professional foundation waterproofing services are necessary. Implementing proper waterproofing measures will help prevent future damage, preserve the building's integrity, and ensure a safe environment.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On August 26, 2025, the City released Invitation to Bid (ITB) No.: FAC/250918 for foundation waterproofing required for City Hall. Two competitive bids were submitted. Stable Foundation Solutions, Inc. was identified as providing the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
Staff recommends approval of foundation waterproofing services with Stable Foundation Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $61,200.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is allocated in account 001-012-601-512-51-46010 - CMO-Facilities CIP Maintenance.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These services were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
