The City of Ocala provides housing rehabilitation assistance to low-income homeowners. The Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) approved by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, includes rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing for income-qualified applicants. Evaluation of the home located on NW 19th CT, revealed active roof leaks and ceiling damage from the leaks. There is a need to replace the HVAC system and upgrade the insulation. The main electrical service has severe deterioration and is recommended for upgrades. Other needed repairs include: plumbing repairs, kitchen cabinets, exterior and interior doors, windows, replace the water heater, flooring, bathroom remodel, exterior repair and repaint. All repairs will address health and safety needs for the homeowner.

On December 27, 2021 an invitation to bid ITB#CDS/210840 was solicited for rehabilitation of the home. The bid closed on January 12, 2022 resulting in receipt of one bid.
