BACKGROUND:

Former board members Rus Adams and Owen Boone resigned in December 2023, creating two vacancies for terms that expire March 1, 2026.  Former board member Leo Blum resigned in April 2024, creating a vacancy for a term that expires March 1, 2027.

Jeanne Herzig-Arena, Daniel London, and Olivia Perez have submitted their applications for appointment to the Ocala Planning & Zoning Commission.  Based on the order in which the applications were received, we are submitting Daniel London for appointment to an unexpired three-year term ending March 1, 2027, and Jeanne Herzig-Arena and Olivia Perez for appointment to unexpired three-year terms ending March 1, 2026.

This is a seven-member board, and these appointments will fill the remaining vacancies on the board.

The vacancies were advertised on the City’s website.  There were no other qualified applicants.
