BACKGROUND:
Ocala Fire Rescue has purchased fire equipment and supplies from Municipal Equipment Company, LLC, via a Cooperative Purchasing (“Piggyback”) Agreement to Lake County’s Contract for Fire Equipment Parts, Supplies, and Service since 2017.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On March 30, 2023, Lake County entered into a Renewal Modification to its Agreement for Fire Equipment, Supplies and Services with Municipal Equipment Company, LLC to extend its term through July 31, 2025. Accordingly, Ocala Fire Rescue would like to exercise its two-year renewal option with Municipal Equipment Company, LLC through July 31, 2025. This will allow Fire Rescue to continue to equip all apparatus and stations with the necessary tools and equipment for daily operations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are budgeted annually through Fire Rescue account 001-019-910-522-52-52010.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These goods and services were procured in compliance with the City’s Procurement Policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This Agreement will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
