BACKGROUND: The West Ocala Residential Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Property Improvement Grant encourages homeowners to make exterior facade improvements, addressing neighborhood deterioration trends while adding value to the CRA. The maximum amount to be awarded is $20,000, covering up to 75 percent of the project costs. The attached grant framework outlines elements of eligible work.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS: The scope of work includes the installation of insulation, a new HVAC system, and replacing windows. The West Ocala CRA Grant Review Committee met on September 9, 2024. The West Ocala CRA Advisory Committee met on September 19, 2024, and recommended approval of CRA24-45829.
The completed application, cost estimates, and photographs of existing conditions are included in the attached packet. Staff recommends approval.
