This is a city staff-initiated request to change the future land use category on the subject properties from Employment Center to Public to provide the appropriate land use for city-owned and utilized properties.
Zoning and Land Use Details:
This requested land use amendment will provide the appropriate land use for the subject city-owned properties, which have been utilized as storm debris collection yards for the Public Works Department. City staff has also submitted a concurrent petition to change the zoning on the subject properties (ZON25-0001).
Planning and Zoning Commission:
Staff presented the land use change request to the Planning and Zoning Commission at the February 10, 2025, meeting. During the hearing, staff confirmed the longstanding use of the properties for storm debris management. There was no public comment.
