BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala Facilities Management Department is responsible for the maintenance of city facilities, including flooring repairs and installation. This service is essential for maintaining these buildings' acoustical integrity and aesthetic quality.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

Omnia contract #02-146 provides competitive pricing, access to reliable vendors, and meets procurement regulations. Facilities staff recommends this contract be approved for purchasing flooring repairs and installations.
As a political subdivision of the State of Florida, the City of Ocala qualifies as an eligible user of OMNIA Partners' cooperative purchasing agreement for Flooring and Outdoor Surfaces Solutions with Engineered Floors, LLC, OMNIA Contract No. 02-146, to procure these services. Contract No. 02-146 was competitively solicited by National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, serving as the lead agency and was awarded for an initial term of three years through April 30, 2026, with the option to renew for two (2) one-year renewal periods.
Cooperative purchasing programs are comprised of member cities, counties, and other public agencies nationwide who aggregate their members' purchasing power to achieve greater volume discounts. The solicitation underlying OMNIA Partners Contract No. 02-146 was evaluated and determined by the City's Procurement Department to be cost-effective and affords the City the best value.
