BACKGROUND:
The City of Ocala has over 130 essential lift stations that transport millions of gallons of raw sewage to wastewater treatment facilities daily. During power outages, dedicated backup generators are vital to maintaining lift station operations, preventing service interruptions, and avoiding potential environmental contamination, public health hazards, and regulatory violations.

These goods have been competitively solicited by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota agency and service cooperative, and evaluated and determined by the Facilities and Procurement Department to be cost effective and to afford the City best value.
