On December 12, 2022, the Ocala Planning & Zoning Commission (first public hearing) considered a Concurrency Development Agreement to be entered into pursuant to Sections 163.3220 through 163.3243, inclusive, Florida Statutes, between the City of Ocala (City) and Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Inc. The second and final public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 4:00 pm with the Ocala City Council.
The property is approximately 28.2 acres located adjacent to the east side of I-75 with frontage on US 27 and NW 35th Avenue Road. (Parcels #21483-000-00, 21465-006-00, 21765-000-00, 21757-001-00, and 21757-000-00). The City held public meetings in December of 2021 approving the PD, Planned Development for the entirety of the project area.
