BACKGROUND:
During routine maintenance evaluations of roadway striping, the Public Works Traffic Division identifies roads where pavement markings and striping are worn or faded and require replacement. The identified roads are then prioritized and scheduled in our maintenance replacement schedule.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On November 1, 2024, the City Council approved a two-year agreement with McShea Contracting, LLC, for citywide traffic striping services with two optional one-year renewals.
Public Works is requesting approval to exercise the first renewal option for the period from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027. Pricing for this first amendment remains unchanged, with no line-item cost increases.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract has been budgeted for Fiscal Year 2026-27 in account 091-023-255-541-54-46010 in the amount of $250,000 and for Fiscal Year 2026-27 in account 109-023-201-541-54-46010 in the amount of $300,000.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
These services were procured in compliance with the City’s procurement policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This amendment will be reviewed and approved for form and legality by City Attorney, William E. Sexton.
