BACKGROUND:
Janitorial services are needed to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of 36 city-operated buildings and facilities. Daily, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning services are necessary for offices, reception areas, restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, auditoriums, etc.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:
On February 16, 2022, the City issued ITB# FAC/220112 for city-wide janitorial services (excluding Recreation & Parks facilities). The bid consists of a three-year contract with two optional, one-year renewals. A total of seven cleaning firms responded to the request and Millennium Floor Care LLC was the most responsive and responsible bidder.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract is appropriated in the Facilities account 001-026-321-519-51-34010 (Other Services). The total contract amount of $380,484 will be expensed at $126,828 annually.
PROCUREMENT REVIEW:
This contract has been reviewed and approved for compliance with the City’s procurement policy.
LEGAL REVIEW:
This contract will be reviewed for form and legality by the City Attorney.
