BACKGROUND:

On April 18, 2023, Council approved the award of the Agreement for Drainage Rehabilitation Improvement Projects (DRIP) to Marion Rock, LLC, (Contract No.: CIP/230150) for an initial two-year term with two optional one-year renewals.  Council approved the first renewal term on April 15, 2025.

During the last three years, Marion Rock, LLC, supported the Stormwater Division with the construction and maintenance of stormwater systems, totaling $4,200,000 in expenditure.

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS:

For the final one-year renewal term, Marion Rock LLC’s unit prices will increase by 3 percent (as requested by the vendor and allowed by the agreement). Marion Rock has done an outstanding job supporting the City’s Stormwater Division facilities.  This final term will begin on May 9, 2026, and terminate on May 8, 2027.  City staff recommends approval of the final one-year renewal of the contract with Marion Rock, LLC for an amount not to exceed $1,250,000.
